Arjun Rajkhowa

I am a PhD researcher at La Trobe University. My thesis focuses on emergent social movements in South Asia. It examines the manner in which the media have covered, responded to, assessed and framed significant emergent social and political processes such as human rights campaigns and anti-corruption campaigns. My research interests include media, human rights in Asia, postcolonial politics, literature and culture, and gender and sexuality. I have written for academic journals and for online media outlets such as The Conversation, Kafila, The Hoot, Overland, Peril, Words Apart and I have been a volunteer programmer for 3CR Community Radio in Melbourne since late 2012.
